For the first time, the Department of Homeland Security is including the Austin-Round Rock region in its list of metropolitan areas eligible for counter-terrorism funding.
The Austin-Round Rock area has been added to a list of cities eligible for counter-terrorism funding from the Department of Homeland Security. It’s a potential windfall for the Austin region, which will compete with dozens of other areas for a piece of the $352 million up for grabs.
