Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas is a center of excellence for Central Texas consisting of a strong alliance of expert personnel, facilities and other specialty resources dedicated to the care of children and adolescents within a 46 county referral region. They believe no child should be refused necessary care and attention for lack of ability to pay.
Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas offers an equally unique place designed specifically to care for children with specific youth needs. We started with the very finest team of doctors, nurses and staff, specially trained to care for kids of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. Next came the leading-edge technology and equipment for treating our young patients in the most innovative ways we can. At Dell Children’s Medical Center we know how to treat kids.
Volunteer opportunities at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas are available in both clinical and non-clinical settings. All hospital volunteers receive training from hospital staff to prepare them for their positions. Volunteers provide volunteer assistance to patients, families and staff of Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, raise funds to help support hospital programs and serve as goodwill ambassadors within the community.
As a member of the Dell Children’s Medical Center Volunteers, you will be invited to participate in various community activities. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one four-hour-a-week shift in a chosen department of the hospital through our College or Auxiliary Programs, the Woody Pet Assisted Therapy Program or the Teen Summer Program.
Find out more about becoming a member of the Dell Children’s Volunteers, participating in the Woody Pet Assisted Therapy Program or the Teen Summer Applications and specific job descriptions for all of the programs listed above can be found on our Volunteer Website.
