This December the United Way will distribute money it’s collected to non-profits that work in three key areas: Education, Financial Stability and Health.
The United Way says the new focus will have a greater impact on root problems. Others, that it’s more about the United Way’s survival than what’s best for the community. As KUT’s Ben Philpott reports the “Community Impact” model is part of a national change.
