Former member of local bands Poi Dog Pondering and The Ugly Americans, local songwriter and bassist Bruce Hughes remains with both The Resentments and The Scabs, but when he’s not with either band Hughes is busy crafting his own work. And you can get a healthy dose of his stylistically diverse dedication to the short song on the new aptly titled release Shorty, complete with 21 well-written gems all in the 2 minute range.
