The recovery effort continues in West, where a fertilizer plant explosion killed 15 people last month and destroyed dozens of homes.

At least 350 homes suffered at least some damage. But there is a way that you can help the people of West, and it involves eating. We spoke about Austin Bakeswith CultureMap food editor Jessica Dupuy.

Through this website, Austinbakes.com, that’s kind of a blog right now that they’ve created, they’re accepting donations through that website that go through Americare, which is a national nonprofit that kind of helps facilitate that sort of thing. The bake sale itself will happen this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at eight different locations across Austin.
