Update – Sept. 7: Mayor Adler is now asking for volunteers to sort toy donations at the Blue Santa warehouse on Industrial Drive. Shifts are today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on volunteer shifts call (512) 974-4719.
Additionally, two businesses have signed on as donation drop-offs for toys.
Toy Joy is offering 25 percent off purchases of toys for the Harvey toy drive and will deliver toys purchased at its Second Street location to the Blue Santa warehouse. You can drop off toys for the drive there, too.
Toy Joy is located at 403 W. Second Street .
Go! Games and Toys is offering 30 percent off games, toys and puzzles to donate to Blue Santa's drive and pledges to donate 5,000 teddy bears to Harvey-affected kids.

Original post: Austin Mayor Steve Adler has put out another call for donations for Harvey evacuees staying in Austin shelters. Adler appeared on KOKE-FM this morning to announce the city’s partnership with Blue Santa to donate toys to children affected by Hurricane Harvey.
The mayor is asking Austinites to donate new items from the list below, per his website:
- Board games
- Playing cards
- Sports balls
- Crayons, markers or colored pencils
- Arts and crafts sets
- Coloring books
The mayor is seeking donations for kids ranging in age from infants to teenagers.
Donations at Blue Santa’s warehouse at 4101 S. Industrial Dr., #260 will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The drive lasts through Sept. 15.
