In this edition of Two Guys on Your Head, Dr. Art Markman and Dr. Bob Duke talk about the way we make decisions when we don't have a lot of information, and the way we gain knowledge through experience that we can't always articulate.
You might think that your happiness is based on the choices you make in life, and for the most part you would be right. But whether you're happy with your decisions actually depends a lot on how you frame the process.
We might think that in order to keep order in our households, work places, or classrooms, that its important to hold people accountable for their negative behavior. However, what that can lead to is a playing field that allows for either nothing to happen, or punishment. It is more important to focus on the behaviors we want to see continue, as opposed to giving energy to avoiding the negative.
Still a little confused? Listen back as Art and Bob explain the details.
