State Budget Battle Continues

Happy 40th Birthday LBJ Library and Museum

Not everyone likes acknowledging when they turn the big 4-0, but the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum does not mind. The museum is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an open house this afternoon. Click here for details on the festivities.

Tough Day for UT Baseball and Softball

Many UT Longhorns were celebrating their graduation Saturday;  click here for the Austin American-Statesman's coverage of the commencement bathed in burnt orange. But not all Longhorns were happy on Saturday. UT's baseball team lost to Texas A&M 3-0 in their last game of the regular season.  That means the Longhorns and Aggies are the co-Big 12 baseball champions for 2011. The Big 12 conference tournament starts Wednesday. UT's softball team also lost Saturday. Louisiana-Lafayette defeated the Longhorns 5-3in the NCAA Austin  Regional, so the season is over for Longhorn softball.
