Try Out the City's Website

The City of Austin is unveiling its new website. The site isn’t live yet, but interested Austinites can attend a user testing session to try it out. The city wants to hear what you like, and what you don’t like about its new website. The sessions start today at 811 Barton Springs Road from 6 to 8 p.m.

Tour of WTP4

This morning the Water and Wastewater Commission will take a tour of Water Treatment Plant Four. No business will be conducted at this time. WTP4 has created quite a bit of controversy and been subject to multiple audits and reviews since construction began on the project over 2 years ago.

Christmas Trees in the Capitol

The holiday season is officially in full swing -- the Capitol building has its Christmas tree. The 20 foot pine is native Texan, from the northern town of Pottsboro. It will be on display in the House of Representatives Chamber for the duration of the holidays. Every year, members of the House are given an ornament to have decorated to represent their district. The 2011 ornaments aren't ready yet, but you can check out last year's ornaments here.
