Austinites Line Up For Obscure Barley Wine

A new batch of Saint Arnold's Divine Reserve is hitting store shelves today. The Divine Reserve is a limited edition brew occasionally released by The Houston-based brewer. Some Austin beer enthusiasts are even taking the day off work to ensure they can grab cases of the barley wine.

"There's a huge subculture of beer nerds, and acquiring a one-off is a pretty big deal," said Chris Troutman, who runs the blog Beer Town Austin. "For the longest time, [Saint Arnold's] was the only brewery doing that, so it's got a lot of momentum and hype around it."

People looking for the beer in Austin were sharing their finds on Twitter.  There's also discussion about where to find the beer on the BeerAdvocate Southwest forum.
