Read by Burton Fitzsimmons.
I’m treading through the water,
trying to keep my head up,
trying to ignore the danger I’m in.
They’re circling me,
seeing the fear in my eyes,
me helpless,
just waiting for the solution.
Each minute goes by,
they sense the fight seeping out of me.
They get closer, and closer,
until I feel their sandpaper skin rub against me.
As I take my final breath,
and slowly sink to the bottom,
I am rescued by my brother,
who wakes me up with a sense of urgency,
then becoming a gray blur,
as I drift off to sleep, again.
