I walked slowly,
taking my time,
pink and orange streaked the sky,
moon still in the morning,
plane trails,
birds in formation.
I wish I had my camera.
I wish I could capture it all in image,
but there’s more,
smell of exhaust, grass
breakfast tacos from the food truck
on the corner
sounds of cars honking
and gravel shifting under my feet.
I walked slowly.
taking it all in,
I almost miss my bus
