Texas Republicans established a post-Reconstruction record Tuesday night, claiming 99 of the 150 seats in the state House.
Now that almost 2/3 of the Texas House is Republican red, including picking up three seats in Central Texas, the GOP will have a tight grasp on the agenda of the 82nd Legislature in January. But that doesn't necessarily mean that every piece of legislation has a pipeline directly to Governor Rick Perry's desk.
