Perry's Presidential Speech to Feature Video Made By Atheist

Fresh off last week's National Day of Prayer in Houston, Perry's Saturday announcement speech, POLITICO reports, will features this two-minute YouTube video created by Michael Wilson. filmmaker and a declared atheist.

Although Wilson does not believe in God, he says he’s “not an evangelical atheist” and doesn’t hold Perry’s faith against him because “the Constitution allows us freedom of religion, and that extends to public officials.

Governor Perry is scheduled to announce on Saturday that he intends to seek the GOP nomination for president. The speech is scheduled for 11:30 CST in Charleston, South Carolina. KUT's Ben Philpott will be there.
