Update Tuesday 8:50 a.m. – The National Weather Service has canceled the flash flood watch for much of Central Texas, though DeWitt, Fayette and Lavaca counties still remain under watch.
Update 7:50 a.m. – Parts of Bastrop, Travis, Hays and Lee counties are under flash flood warnings this morning. The flash flood watch continues until tomorrow morning, as more rain is forecast for today and overnight tonight.

Update 10:20 p.m. – Austin ISD, UT Austin, St. Edward's University, Concordia University and Austin Community College will open at 10 a.m. Monday due to bad weather.
Leander, Manor, Del Valle and Pflugerville ISDs and Hays CISD will also operate on a two-hour delay Monday.
City of Austin offices will also open at 10 a.m.

EARLIER: A flash flood watch will be in effect for the next couple days, as potentially heavy rain drenches Central Texas. The National Weather Service says 3 to 6 inches of rain is expected before Tuesday morning, with the possibility of 8 to 12 inches in some places.
The flash flood watch is in place from 10 a.m. Sunday and through 10 a.m. Tuesday.
State officials are moving to prepare for possible flooding as severe weather rolls across Texas. On Saturday, Governor Greg Abbott put the state's disaster response system on alert.
“We urge all Texans to closely monitor developing weather as the state prepares for the possibility of heavy rainfall, tornadoes and flooding,” said Governor Abbott. “It is crucial that Texans stay clear of rising waters and heed warnings from state and local officials, who stand ready to assist and support communities impacted as this weather system passes through Texas.”
There's at least a chance of rain in the forecast for the Austin area every day through Friday.
