A Flock of Seagulls headlines “I Want My ALL ATX” concert benefitting ALL ATX Charities

"I Want My ATX" Concert Benefits ALL ATX Charities.

Mobley, Kalu and The Electric Joint, Alesia Lani and Night Glitter Salute MTV’s Golden Era

AUSTIN, Texas – Sept. 12, 2018 – KUTX 98.9, the Austin Music Experience, and Four Seasons Hotel Austin will present “I Want My ALL ATX,” a concert benefitting the music education-based non-profit ALL ATX, Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin lawn.

English new wave, synth-pop band A Flock of Seagulls headlines the show. Austin artists Mobley, Kalu and The Electric Joint, Alesia Lani and Night Glitter are the featured performers.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at KUTX.org. Prices range from $20 for general admission on the lawn, to $100 for the Restaurant Terrace, to $200 for the Lounge Deck. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m.

The ALL ATX concert theme, “I Want My ALL ATX,” pays homage to the heyday of MTV and 1980s music. In addition to their own songs, the featured artists will perform songs from the ALL ATX compilation. The compilation – benefitting ALL ATX charities Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), The SIMS Foundation, Austin Music Foundation (AMF) and Black Fret – will feature covers harkening back to songs popular on MTV in its golden years, including rock, pop, new wave and soul.

“Supporting the musicians that fuel the Austin music scene is part of the DNA of KUTX 98.9,” said Matt Reilly, KUTX 98.9 program director. “We’ve had a long, successful partnership with both the Four Seasons and the ALL ATX organization, so this collaboration makes perfect sense.”

The benefit concert will serve as the album release party for the 2018 ALL ATX album supporting ALL ATX charities. The concert also will mark the grand opening of the freshly renovated Four Seasons Hotel Austin, featuring its new restaurant, lounge and expansive deck. Meant to evoke the feel of one of Austin’s luxe lake houses, the design for the new spaces borrows heavily from the colors, textures and patterns found in the verdant gardens, towering oaks and shimmering waters in the hotel’s resort-like backyard.

“Fostering our connection to the Austin community has been a focus of the hotel since we opened our doors over thirty years ago,” said Rob Hagelberg, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Austin. “One of our most successful and inspiring collaborations has been our partnership with KUTX to raise funds for worthy causes. Contributing to the great work being done by ALL ATX charities in support of Austin musicians is a natural fit for this partnership.   In celebrating the re-opening of our lobby, restaurant, and outdoor spaces, we feel there is no better way to re-introduce ourselves to the community than to put some live music on stage.

Limited self-parking is available in the hotel garage on a first-come, first-served basis at a discounted rate of $5 per car from 2-6 p.m.
