It's all done.  Two incumbents are reelected to the Austin City Council. A third officeholder, Randi Shade, will face challenger Kathie Tovo in a June runoff election.

Here's the lowdown from the City of Austin.

For immediate release May 14, 2011 City of Austin voters selected two Council Members today, May 14, in Places 1 and 4, based on unofficial results. Results of the general election will be canvassed at 10 a.m. June 28 in the City Council Chambers. Based on the official results determined at the canvass, a runoff election may be required in Place 3 between the top two vote-getters. If a runoff is needed, it would be June 18. Unofficial results are: Place 1 • Roger Chan 7,219 (23.98 percent) • Josiah Ingalls 1,883 (6.25 percent • Norman Jacobson 1,098 (3.65 percent) • Chris Riley 19,905 (66.12 percent) Place 3 • Kris Bailey 1,997 (6.34 percent) • Michael “Max” Nofziger 4,465 (14.17 percent) • Randi Shade 10,337 (32.94 percent) • Kathie Tovo 14,666 (46.55 percent) Place 4 • Laura Morrison 21,737 (72.94 percent) • Eric J. Rangel 5,598 (18.78 percent) • K. Toby Ryan Hill 2,468 (8.28 percent) Early voting for the runoff election would be June 6-14. The inauguration of the newly elected Council Members is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 28 in Austin City Hall.
