"Save Texas Schools" will march to the Texas State Capitol tomorrow morning. The group hopes to encourage Texas lawmakers to support public education by restoringfunding cut from Texas schools last legislative session.
The march will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Congress Avenue and Riverside Drive. The group will march north on Congress to the capitol.
Though no roads will be closed for the march, the city of warns it could cause some traffic delays between 10:30 and noon on Saturday. The marchers will be escorted down congress by Austin Police.
A rally will be held at the capitol following the march. There, former Texas Education Agency Commissioner Robert Scott is scheduled to speak.
