Lego bricks literally came to life at the Delco Events Center Saturday, as kids from across Central Texas took part in a First Lego League competition. News 8 Austin reports the Legos were married with electronics, to give budding engineers a chance to create task-oriented robots.

Report Highlights License Suspension Work Around

A driver who has their license suspended for suspicion of driving while intoxicated can get what’s called an “occupational driver’s license.” The Austin American-Statesman and KVUE report on the apparent ease of obtaining the temporary license.

Longhorns Fall to Oklahoma State

Texas lost another home football game Saturday night, getting bounced by 10th-ranked Oklahoma State, 33-16. It was the first time the Cowboys have been the Longhorns in Austin since 1944. UT has now lost four in a row at home for the first time since 1956. The ‘Horns need to win both of their remaining games, against Florida Atlantic and traditional rival Texas A&M, to be eligible to play in a post-season bowl game.
