Five Mile Dam Park in Kyle. People who live in the community will be able to meet tonight with four candidates for city manager.

People who live in the Austin exurb of Kyle have an opportunity to meet their future city manager tonight. Four people are finalists for the job. They'll be shaking hands tonight at 7 p.m. at Kyle City Hall.

Here are the names of the finalists and links to their biographies:

Dale Brown - City Manager for City of Palestine, TX since 2005
James R Earp, CPM– Asst. City Manager for the City of Kyle since 2006,
Interim City Manager for City of Kyle since 4/2010
Andres Garza, Jr.- City of Wharton, TX since 1994
Lanny Lambert- City of Leon Valley, TX since 2007

Earp could have an advantage over the other candidates, not only because he's been the interim manager for Kyle since April, but also because Kyle is larger than other cities being managed by the finalists, reports San Marcos Local News.

The City of Kyle's website says the job interviews will take place tomorrow behind closed doors.
