Round Rock Cancels Fourth of July Fireworks

With no fireworks in Austin this Independence Day, some patriots may have been planning the trek up to Williamson County to catch the rocket’s red glare. Those plans will have to be canceled. You can count Round Rock’s fireworks display as another victim of the Texas drought.

But summer’s loss is winter’s gain. Round Rock officials said in a news release they are rescheduling the fireworks show for their Christmas Family Night celebration on December 9th.

Fireworks have also been canceled in Kyle and Buda. San Marcos is still planning a fireworks display on the Fourth of July.

Or you could save on gasoline and watch this video of the Round Rock fireworks from last year.
