Perry to Debate in New Hampshire

Governor Rick Perry will face off with other Republican Presidential hopefuls at a debate tonight in New Hampshire. The debate will focus on jobs and the economy. Tonight's debate will be an important one for Perry, as his numbers in the polls have been slipping over the past few weeks. Here is more coverage of Perry's prospects for tonight.

TCU to Join the Big 12

Texas Christian University has officially announced it will join the Big 12 Conference. The announcement comes less than a week after the conference made their invitation. Texas A&M announced it was joining the Southeastern Conference earlier this year. Texas Christian's brings Big 12 back up to 10 teams for the 2012 season.

Austin's Comprehensive Plan

Tonight city officials will meet to discuss Imagine Austin's Comprehensive Plan. The plan is a vision of Austin's long-term growth and development. A Citizens Advisory Task Force will meet at 5:30 tonight, followed by the  Planning Commission at six. Here is more of our coverage on this issue.

Bastrop Fire Academy

Camp Swift in Bastrop County will be home to the 14th Annual Wildfire and Incident Management Academy. Starting Friday, firefighters from across the state will head to Bastrop to participate in workshops focused on fighting wildfires. The program is run by a combination of state and federal agencies.
