Got a few hours to spare? Love KUT?
Volunteering at KUT is a great way to get a behind-the-scenes look at the station, meet new people and support the programs you love!
Our volunteer opportunities can be found on our new site: KUT-KUTX Volunteer Hub. We will post opportunities to specific groups, so we recommend that you look at all of them and join any that pique your interest. If you have any special skills or interest, you'll be able to share those with us through your profile.
What do volunteers do?
We are looking for dedicated listeners to work alongside our staff on a variety of duties and events. Some of these are:
Help us share our gratitude to our new and longtime members by reaching out to spread our thanks. Public radio is powered by each and every member, volunteer and listener. Our goal is to reach out and say thanks to ALL of our new members who join during our Membership Drives through a friendly phone call or a handwritten postcard.
KUT has many special events throughout the year, including concerts, book events, discussion forums, projects within the Membership Department and more.
KUTX Street Team and Studio 1A Team
KUTX is looking for independent, music-loving people to represent us at events and our live recordings in Studio 1A. KUTX Street Team members should have an interest in hanging banners, event set-up, working a promotions table, handing out stickers and interacting with like-minded music lovers. Learn more about KUTX volunteer opportunities and complete the required orientation here.
KUT Public Media Studios Tour Guides
If you have a flexible schedule on weekdays during business hours and want to participate in a steady volunteer opportunity, then consider becoming a Studio Tour Guide.
Our Studio Tour Volunteers are a core group of volunteers who lead tours of the KUT-KUTX Public Media Studios throughout the year for school groups, local camps, scouts, community organizations, members, concert club guests and more.
