Candidates Showcase their Faith in Iowa

Six of the 8 top tier candidates were at a forum last night hosted by the conservative Christian group The Family Leader in Des Moines.  Moderators promised to allow complete answers and no questions that would put the candidates at odds with each other. The night was focused on how the faith would guide them as President.  Texas Governor Rick Perry, never shy about his religious views, didn’t blank on any of his answers, as KUT's Ben Philpott reports.

Bastrop Hosts Forum on Rebuilding

Bastrop County officials along with nearby Chambers of Commerce hosted a free expo for people to browse vendors and hear from experts after the devastating wildfires. As KUT's Erika Aguilar reports, people there estimated about half of the people displaced in the fire will rebuild their homes in Bastrop.

Longhorns Lose to Kansas State

In their final home game of the season the Longhorns came up short against Kansas State 17-13, and it wasn't just the fans that were watching. As the Statesman reports six representatives from four bowl games were on hand to watch the horns come within reach of victory, only to see it slip away.
