Early Morning Shooting at Cedar Park Walmart

Update (8/20/12, 9 a.m.):

Cedar Park Police are still investigating a shooting at a Walmart parking lot that injured four people early Sunday morning.

Soloman Onwukaife, 18, is in custody. Police believe Onwukaife fired the shots that sent four others to the hospital. The accused shooter was also injured in the altercation.

Officers say five teenage boys were involved. The fight reportedly started at a nearby party and the teens agreed to meet in the Walmart parking lot to finish the argument.

No one was killed in the shooting and no bystanders were injured.

Original Story (8/19/12, 8:50 a.m.) :

The Cedar Park police say 5 people were shot this morning during a fight at the Walmart off Highway 183 and 1431.

The altercation happened around 4:30 this morning in the store's parking lot.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, the person who is believed to be the shooter was one of the 5 shot. Police say the suspect's injuries do not appear critical. No one was killed in the shooting.

Police say the people met at the parking lot "for an altercation." No Walmart employees or customers were involved. An employee at the Walmart told KUT News this afternoon the store is open for business.
