Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential front runner, is expected to announce the support of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie this afternoon. That's a nice little boost heading into tonight's GOP debate at Dartmouth College.
But at the same time, most political watchers thought a Christie presidential run would take votes away from Romney, rather than from Rick Perry. So you could argue most of the people that would be swayed by a Christie endorsement of Romney weren't going to vote for Perry anyway.
But I would guess this puts pressure on the Perry campaign to come up with their own "big" endorsement soon. Paging Sarah Palin...
