Employer Matching Gifts

Matching gifts are a great way of enabling KUT to receive more money without having to send in an extra dime! You may be able to double or even triple your gift to KUT.

How do I get my employer to match my gift to KUT?

Check our database here which includes information about which companies match to KUT and how to complete the process. You may also visit your employer's human resources department to find out if your employer matches gifts to KUT Radio. Or you can request information (or your donation receipt) from us here. 

We are part of The University of Texas at Austin so in your employer's online matching gift portal, you are most likely to find UT Foundation (EIN: 74-1587488). Select them and designate your gift to KUT Radio. They will deposit the matching funds into our account. 

You may also find KUT, KUTX or The University of Texas at Austin (EIN: 74-6000203). Each of these options are great; again, just be sure you list KUT Radio in a comments line if we were not an option to select.

For electronic form, you can use membership@kut.org as contact, and if paper, simply mail the form to us. We’ll take care of the rest!

What is KUT's EIN?

There are two EIN's you might be able to find KUT with:

  • UT Foundation: 74-1587488.
  • KUT and KUTX, The University of Texas at Austin: 74-6000203

The reason for two EIN's is that The University of Texas is a 170c1, and KUT is licensed by The University. UT Foundation is a 501c3 that accepts gifts on behalf of The University of Texas, and therefore, KUT and KUTX.

My company uses YourCause?

If your employer uses YourCause to process their matching gifts, then you'll find KUT Radio under -2869857 within that system at your place of employment.

If you have questions or if your employer participates in a Matching Gifts program but is not listed in UT's matching service, please contact KUT Membership at membership@kut.org or 512-475-6100.

Special note for Monthly Sustaining Members: companies require that we receive the donations before they will match a pledge and some companies have minimum requirements for donations that they'll match, so we recommend that you wait 6-12 months after starting your membership to start submitting your gifts for matching. Just add the total and give the most recent date your sustaining gift was processed. If you're company has a Dec. 31 deadline, please reach out to us at membership@kut.org or 512-475-6100 and we'll make a note to send you a receipt after your last donation for the year processes.
