LIVE: President Trump Speaks After Las Vegas Shooting

President Donald Trump is scheduled to make remarks at the White House st 9:30 a.m. after a gunman killed at least 50 people and wounded hundreds of others last night at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

In a tweet this morning, Trump sent condolences to those who were killed in the shooting. The suspected gunman, identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino into a crowd of 22,000 concert attendees just northwest of the hotel. More than 50 people were killed and more than 400 were sent to area hospitals. It’s the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
