Rick Perry takes the stage at the CNN Las Vegas debate.

Last night's Las Vegas debate was certainly a lively one. It was also the most contentious of the GOP debates so far, with Mitt Romney and Rick Perry saving their most pointed attacks for each other. That's the thing that almost all post-debate reports focused on.

And speaking of post-debate analysis... here are a few posts to read on your lunch break.

Let's start with Texas Monthly's Paul Burka. His Perry-centric analysis states what most of the Texas press in Las Vegas was saying immediately after the debate, "Perry lives to fight another day." Though Burka continues to state that the Texas Governor just doesn't have what it takes to be President.

Broadening out the reaction a bit - a story from POLITICO looks at the 9 big things to take from last night's debate.

And here's ABC's more direct approach -  Winners and Losers.

Finally, much of the post-debate chatter was that last night cemented the perception that, at least in the Perry and Romney camps, it's a two-person race for the GOP nomination between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

Rick Perry speak this morning in Las Vegas. He then makes a couple of stops over the weekend in Iowa, before delivering more details of his economic plan in South Carolina on October 25th.
