Was Rick Perry ‘eating his feelings’ when he abandoned his presidential bid today?

Various news reports note that Perry told his staff of his decision to drop out over burgers at a Wendy’s restaurant in South Carolina last night. More from the Houston Chronicle:

Perry’s Appomattox came at a Wendy’s in Charleston, [Communications director Ray] Sullivan said.  That’s when Perry told him he had made his decision. Earlier in the day, Perry discussed the decision with his family and some staff members. Sullivan and Perry met at the Wendy’s to begin working on his remarks.
