Join Us for a Presidential Debate Live Show!

Ben Philpott, Jim Henson and Jay Root at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas watching the first 2016 U.S. presidential general election debate between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Join KUT's Ben Philpott and The Texas Tribune's Jay Root for a live recording of their podcast, The Ticket 2016 – a look at presidential politics from a Texas perspective. Ben and Jay will kick off the evening with a review of the latest news from the campaign trail, including some debate comedy from our friends at Coldtowne Theater. Following the live recording, we will watch the Presidential Debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump at 8 p.m.. 

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the live recording will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

The event will be held in KLRU's Studio 6A on the University of Texas at Austin campus (map and directions). The event is free and open to the public, and food and drink will be provided. Parking is available in the San Antonio Garage and 27th Street Garage located near campus (parking fee not included in registration).

The live podcast recording will be streamed live on KUT's Facebook page beginning at 7 p.m.
