The KUT public media studios are available for recorded and live interviews. This service is open to public radio partners, educational institutions, podcast production companies, as well as independent producers. We charge a competitive hourly rate, provide engineering and use the same professional equipment we use to produce our news and music programming.

Rates
$150/hour for recordings, tape syncs and IP-connected 2-ways (billable in half-hour increments after the first hour)

We do charge the same rate for interviews involving University of Texas professors and representatives. This type of reservation must be booked by your organization, not the UT interviewee.

Studio information
- Comrex, Tieline and Telos IP-codecs are available for remote connections
- Zoom, Skype, FaceTime and phone calls can all be recorded
- Spoken word recordings for podcasts, audio books, etc.
- WAV recordings on Adobe Audition
- Digital audio-over-IP LiveWire network with Axia Fusion consoles
- Rode Broadcaster mics are our standard, but other mics available upon request
- We no longer offer ISDN connections

KUT and KUTX accept public service announcements (PSA) from not-for-profit entities in Central Texas. Please be aware of the following: All PSA submissions will be considered for possible airtime, provided they originate from and/or benefit a non-profit organization. For-profit businesses who wish to run promotional messages can find information on underwriting at on our sponsorships page.

We cannot air PSAs for religious services or partisan political rallies. We do not accept pre-recorded PSAs. All PSAs are read live on-air.

We are not able to notify organizations if or when a PSA will run.

We do not open attachments or follow links. Please include all information in the body of your email.

Please provide a way for listeners to find more information—a web address or social media information that is easy for hosts to read and listeners to understand.

PSAs are free announcements. Please understand that we receive a high volume of requests and do our best to accommodate a variety of local organizations.

Submit your PSA two to three weeks before the event you wish to publicize. It's the best way increase your organization's chance of airtime.
