The FDA has ordered dietary supplement Amoxilina off the shelves.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ordered nine dietary supplements be recalled by Georgia-based Multi-Mex Distributor.  Among the supplements is Amoxilina, which was subject of a lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.

KUT News reported about two weeks ago that officials at Dell Children's Medical Center were concerned about Amoxilina's packaging and how similar it was to boxes of the antibiotic Amoxicillin.  Parents of Hispanic children bought the supplement over the counter at an Austin store, thinking it was medicine.

The recall affects stores in nine states, including Texas.
