The Texas Department of Transportation is closing the southbound lanes of I-35 tonight.  Traffic will be detoured to the access road at the Woodward Street exit.  Several frontage roads in the Ben White area will also be closed or detoured. Crews will be placing bridge beams over the interstate as part of the new direct ramp that will eventually connect northbound I-35 to westbound Ben White.  TXDOT says lanes should re-open around midnight Saturday.
