Voter Registration Deadline Tomorrow (Updated)

KUT News

Update: Tomorrow is the last day to register to vote in the May election.

If you’ve moved since the last time you voted – you’ll have to register again. In Travis County, you can register in person at one of tax office locations, mail in an application – which are available at post offices and libraries, or update your information online.

Original Story (April 4, 2013, 6:57 p.m.): There’s a local election next month, and if you’re not registered to vote or have a new address, you have one week to get registered.

There are ballot questions for voters in Bee Cave, Manor, Lakeway and Lake Travis, but the biggest item on the ballot is the Austin school district’s bond propositions totaling more than $892 million, estimated to cost the average property owner about $70 more per year.

The last day to register to vote is next Thursday, April 11. Early voting starts on April 29; election day is May 11.
