Most Austin-Area Schools Will Operate on Two-Hour Delay Tuesday

Update (7:00 A.M.): Capital Metro has lifted detours, and is now following its regular routes.

Tuesday morning update (4:15 A.M.): The City of Austin has announced all City offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m. today.  That includes Austin Municipal Courts and the Downtown Austin Community Court. The City Council work session will begin at 10:30 a.m. Capital Metro will detour some bus routes because of possible inclement weather this morning.

All Austin locations of Concordia University will be closed until 10:30 a.m. Huston-Tillotson University will open at 10 a.m. and classes will start at 11:00 a.m.

Monday night: Several Austin-area school districts have said they will operate on a 2-hour delay Tuesday morning, amid a chance of freezing temperatures overnight and the possibility of some precipitation. 

UT-Austin says it will open at 10 a.m. and classes will begin at 11 a.m. Shuttle bus service will start at 9:15 a.m. All Austin Community College campuses will open at 10:00 a.m. Both Texas State University campuses will open at 10:00 a.m. and classes will start at 11:00 a.m.
