After consecutive Saturdays with victories over highly touted opponents (#2 Kansas on January 22nd and #13 Missouri this past weekend), the Texas Longhorns Men’s Basketball team has surged to #3 in the Top 25 Coaches Poll. The victory over Kansas in Lawrence snapped the Jayhawks’ 69-game home winning streak and gave Texas its first victory against Kansas on the road in school history.
It doesn’t get any easier for the ‘Horns tonight, however, as they travel to College Station to take on 15th ranked Texas A&M Aggies. The two teams met in Austin a couple of weeks ago with the Longhorns defeating the Aggies by 21 points. The team was led by swingman Jordan Hamilton’s game-high 27.
Tonight's game will be televised nationally on ESPN. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 pm.
