The National Weather Service placed Austin in the "enhanced risk" area for tonight's storms.

Storms are moving out of the area Thursday morning, after power was knocked out for more than a thousand homes in Austin. Austin Energy says the power is back on for almost all of its customers.

There are currently no weather watches or warnings in the Austin area. As a line of severe storms moved toward the Interstate 35 corridor Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said it was not detecting any hail that met severe criteria.
