SXSW: Episode Eleven from The Daily Buzz

The Daily Buzz caught up with Korean rock, electronic and indie band HEO in the hallway of the Majestic on 6th Street during SXSW just prior to their performance. We spoke with HEO's Kim Bo Yeong (vocals, keyboard, and bass), K (guitar and sound engineer) and Kim Geonjae (drums).

HEO's first experience at SXSW was as a session musician three years ago, and he returns to Austin headlining with his own group at the Seoulsonic Showcase. We talked about how film inspires him as a musician, why he loves David Lynch's Lost Highway and Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, and how he draws inspiration from life and politics.

The Daily Buzz at the 2015 SXSW Festival is sponsored by Production Legal, Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival, Soundcloud and Cloud Electronics. With additional support from KUT, Kind Snacks, Texas Tea and Squeeze and Sabra Hummus.
