Several House Districts in Central Texas are also uncontested. Here are results for the ones that are not:

Texas House of Representatives

Background: The Texas House is the lower chamber of the state Legislature. It consists of 150 members, who are elected every two years. Along with the state Senate, the House drafts and passes state laws, policies and budgets. The Legislature meets for 140 days during odd-numbered years, though the governor can call special sessions outside that time frame.

House District 45 represents all of Blanco and Hays counties.

House District 47 represents a large area of Far Western Austin, as well as a tiny slice of the southern part of the city near Manchaca.

House District 49 stretches from Sunset Valley and into Northern Austin, covering much of the area west of IH 35.

House District 51 covers a large swath of Southeast Austin, including ABIA and Circuit of the Americas.
