A complete listing of U.S. winners is available here.

Every year, the New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards recognize the best radio programs from stations, networks and independent producers around the world. The 2016 winners were announced at a gala in New York City last night.

This is not the first time “Texas Standard” has been recognized by the New York Festivals. “One Day in Dallas,” a special on the JFK assassination 50 years later, won a silver award in 2014. The special was produced by Emily Donahue and David Brown.

“Texas Standard” airs in 25 markets throughout Texas and is a project of KUT Austin, KERA North Texas, Houston Public Media, and San Antonio’s Texas Public Radio, as well as newsrooms across Texas.

The show has earned several awards since it launched statewide in March 2015, including from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities.
