Update: The Navy sniper killed this month at a North Texas gun range will be buried at the Texas State Cemetery in East Austin today.
While the funeral for Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle will be closed to the public, people are invited to observe the funeral procession.

Original Story (Feb. 11, 2013, 5:22 p.m.): A funeral procession for the former Navy sniper who was killed at a Fort Worth shooting range earlier this month will travel to Austin tomorrow.
Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle will be buried at the Texas State Cemetery on Tuesday.
Kyle’s funeral procession will enter Austin from I-35 around 11:30 and exit at 6th Street downtown. It will then go east on 7th Street and turn north on Navasota to the cemetery.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Navasota and Comal streets will be closed between 7th and 11th Streets. The sidewalk on the north side of 7th Street will also be closed. The cemetery will be closed to the public during the funeral.
“It’s important for the public to expect traffic delays on I-35 during the early afternoon hours," APD officer David Boyd said. "If they need to plan an alternate route to get where they’re going, they need to do so accordingly.”
For people who want to show support, Boyd said they should use frontage roads and overpasses. But he urged citizens to not hang signs or banners on railings, as they become a danger to traffic should they fall.
Kyle was shot to death earlier this month at Rough Creek Lodge. He was a Navy SEAL sniper, and has the most confirmed sniper kills in U.S. history.
He wrote the bestselling autobiography: "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History."
