After five years in Waterloo Park, Fun Fun Fun Fest is moving to Auditorium Shores. The annual music festival, which takes place in early November, features independent and underground rock, hip hop and electronic music artists. Check out this recap from last year.
"After maxing out Waterloo Park last year, we realized we needed more space to deliver on some of our new ideas and offer our fans what they expect," Fun Fun Fun Fest partner James Moody said in a press release.
Auditorium Shores is 81 acres and has a capacity of 20,000. Waterloo Park is 10 acres and has a capacity of 10,000. And as the Red River Noise blog points out, the Waller Creek Tunnel Project could make it harder to throw large events in Waterloo Park. In fact, Transmission Entertainment booker Graham Williams told the Austin Chronicle in early April that the project would force them to move FFF.
The first batch of early bird tickets goes on sale in May.
