John Aielli, host of Eklektikos on KUT 90.5 FM is hosting an annual Christmas carol sing-along at the Texas State Capitol on Saturday. The event regularly draws thousands of people to the Capitol lawn.
John says this year's event will proceed rain or not. Show up around 6 p.m. The singing starts at 7 p.m. and goes till 9 p.m. KUT wants you to bring a donation for the Capitol Area Food Bank.
As for the parking situation, the City of Austin now charges for downtown parking until midnight on Saturdays. You can search for a spot on the street or park in one of these downtown parking garages.
