TDS owns a large slab of property in Buda. Part of it is used as a dump for the City of Austin. Another part is an 1175 acre ranch that is "home to more than 1,600 animals from over 50 different species," according to the ranch's website.
The place gets high accolades from the three people who wrote about it on the consumer review site Yelp. Each gave the exoctic game ranch five stars, with user Jacob R. urging people to visit.
If you ever have an excuse to go to an event here, take it because the place is amazing. I saw alot of wild animals that are all roaming free. In addition to the free range animals were some giraffes and other larger animals. Closet thing Austin has to a real zoo.
A telephone operator at the ranch told KUT News that the dump is not visible from the ranch's event center.
