Lockdown Ends at Wimberley High School (Updated)

The high school in Wimberley was temporarily put on lockdown around noon today because a shooting near the school.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened on the 300 block of Rader Ranch road, which is just a few blocks away from Wimberley High School. The victim was transported to a hospital in Austin. The shooter barricaded himself inside a home for a few hours, and surrendered to police late this afternoon.
