The defending champion Baylor women’s basketball team is again the No. 1 overall seed in the women’s NCAA tournament.
The first game for the Lady Bears is Sunday against No. 16 seed Prairie View A&M.
So far, the only loss for the Bears this season came against Stanford University at a November tournament in Hawaii. This is the third straight year that Baylor was selected as the No. 1 Seed. This year's other top-rated teams are Notre Dame, Connecticut and Stanford.
Like the University of Texas at Austin men, the Longhorn women were not eligible to play in the NCAA tournament this year.
Other Big 12 teams in the women's tournament are Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
