Is Your 2015 Resolution to Make More Music? Enter NPR's Tiny Desk Contest!
NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concert series is coming to a desk near you. Yours, in fact, if you've got an undiscovered penchant for performance.
NPR Music is accepting submissions for their Tiny Desk Concert Contest through Jan. 19. All you need is a desk, a camera, an original song and, of course, talent. Videos must be shorter than 10 minutes and contestants must be 21 or older.
The winner will perform their own concert behind Bob Boilen's infamous Tiny Desk at NPR's headquarters in Washington D.C., and will also play the Lagunita's "Couch Trippin' to Austin" showcase at SXSW in March.
Check out a quick video rundown of the contest rules below.
Contestants will be judged based on stage presence, music quality and originality by a six-member panel of judges, including Reggie Watts, Robin Hilton, Thao Nguyen, John Congleton, Valerie June and Tiny Desk owner Bob Boilen.
To submit, simply put your video on YouTube and fill out all the forms on the contest website. Having difficulty with uploads, submission forms or anything else? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
