2020 Austin City Council Elections

KUT and the Austin Monitor held a series of forums over the past few weeks with candidates running for Austin City Council. Not everyone can watch an hour-long forum, though, so we picked three big questions from the event and are providing text of the candidates' answers here. 

There are four candidates running for the seat in District 6, which represents Northwest Austin: Dee Harrison, Jennifer Mushtaler, Mackenzie Kelly and Jimmy Flannigan (the incumbent).

KUT has been teaming up with the Austin Monitor for a series of virtual Austin City Council candidate forums. The final forum was tonight with candidates running to represent District 10, which encompasses Northwest Austin. Six candidates are challenging incumbent Alison Alter.

KUT is teaming up with the Austin Monitor for a series of virtual Austin City Council candidate forums. Tonight's forum was with candidates running to represent District 6, which covers Northwest Austin. The seat is currently held by Jimmy Flannigan, who is running for re-election. Candidates answered audience-submitted questions starting at 7 p.m.

The first in a series of virtual Austin City Council candidate forums hosted by KUT and the Austin Monitor was tonight at 7. Candidates running for District 2, which encompasses Southeast Austin, answered audience-submitted questions.
