The Aggies are in town tomorrow for one of the biggest rivalry games in college football. Longhorn fans are hoping Texas plays with confidence following last weekend’s Florida Atlantic win. Texas A&M is ranked 17.
Head Coach Mack Brown praised Texas A&M's defense and acknowledged he’s not happy being the underdog going into the Thanksgiving Day game.
"We will need our crowd Thursday night. A&M’s playing really well with a lot of confidence. We are down to where we have to win the game or it’s the seniors' last game of their career, so we are going to play hard and we’ are going to play well," Brown said during a Monday news conference.
The Horns have to win tomorrow’s game to play in a bowl game. The stakes are high for A&M as well. They have to beat the Horns for a chance at the Big 12 title.
"Thursday night’s game is really special like the OU game it’s national but this one is more about high school football in the State of Texas and the great traditions of the University of Texas and the Texas A&M Aggies," Brown said.
Tomorrow night’s game starts at 7 p.m. in Austin. It will be preceded by the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets marching up Congress Street to the State Capitol.
